Jodie Mathews

Jodie has spent 30 years living and working in the Wimmera in various community-based settings and is passionate about supporting individuals to explore self-expression and healing through the transformative power of Art Therapy. With a deep understanding of how creativity nurtures personal growth and emotional well-being, she provides a safe and supportive place for children, youth and adults. Her practice enhances participants' ability to process challenges and find connection through creative expression.
Her journey into art therapy began with a love of creating and exploring materials to communicate emotions and experiences, that words often cannot. Jodie’s qualifications include a Master of Art Therapy, a Bachelor of Visual Arts, and certifications in Sensorimotor Art Therapy, Clayfield Therapy, and Guided Drawing.
As a project worker she has had extensive experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including over a decade as a youth worker advocating for multicultural youth.
Jodie is a professional member of ANZACATA, the peak professional association for Creative Arts Therapies in Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
